Name that Axle!! Shaft Drive Yamaha Edition

OK.... I got 3 axles here..... someone told me that the 225DX and 200E axles are different. I also got a Dura-Blue tossed in.... Now from just this thread and the pictures of the "inner" part of the axles, you tell me which is which!

PS - One still has part of a bearing race on it, but personally, I can't tell them apart by just the carrier/gear housing area of the axles.

Bruce I'm gonna make an (un)educated guess and say that the middle one is the Durablue. It seems to have a different taper in the middle section inbetween the splines and bearing surface. In the last picture, the first axle (rusty one) looks like it has a different taper to it after the splines compared to the other two though, and the middle one looks like the splines go down the taper a short distance further then the other two.

OK..... the center one is the Dura-Blue dear Watson, but which axle does it replace????

So... will it work on either the 200E or the 225DX? Your brother wasn't sure.

Honestly I have no idea if they are interchangeable. You’re the one that has both machines sitting in your shop. I expect you to let us know :D .
