here is an interesting dilemma, I have a cast alum. intake for my 83 R. I would like to use it but at the moment, I am scratching my head as to how to attach the carb! It is all alum, with a channel on the round portion, as if to slip a rubber "thing" over it and then attach the carb in the normal fashion. Any clue? anyone? dont really want to use a piece of radiator hose from a 74 Gremlin!

Would a rad valve boot and clamps work? Their boot has a stop on the inside so it only slides on so far.

Holic, I didnt bother opening that link up (wayy to many windows open right now) so im unsure of how much it cost.... If you want to go a cheaper route any hose will work as long as its flexible and has flexible additives in it.

Edit- finally got some ebay work done and was able to open window, I guess for 7 bucks you cant go wrong.

the 185 head and 200x head are the same other than maybe a decompression valve, the 200x carb is bolted to the intake and intern the intake is bolted to the head if anything measure the bolt holes center to center and see if they are the same, if not go for the 200x carb for less headache on getting it goin.
