Three Wheeler Question!!!!!

Hey guys! I just bought an 84 200x in great shape and loving it, but I have a question about another 3 wheeler. My neighbor is selling a 250es big red in good shape and a parts 200m. I want to buy them both but I want the 200m to give to my cousin. He has a 200 es. What is the difference between a 200m and and a 200es? He needs some parts and wanted to know if that would work. My neighbor is only asking 350 for both. Thanks Adam

pick those up right now!!!! 200es is shaft drive and 200m is chain drive. there are a lot of differences but i cant list them all cause im in a hurry

the only diffrences between the 2 is the the 200e has high/low selector, besides that the motor is the same

shaft/ chain is difference and the high low gearing...alot of parts should work with each other..they are both 200 motors which is the same thing on top end just different bottoms ...keep his es bottom for the high low selection and put the top end of the m on there ittl be pretty nice..although i dunno y ud do that since its the same..lol

The 200m is similar to the 200es. The 200es has shaft drive plus reverse where the 200m is chain driven and no reverse. 200m dosent have a a Low range. The 200es has racks front and rear. The rear end of the 200es will have a differential and diffrent rear brake pads and bearings. The 200m is a cheaper virsion of the 200es. With less of the goodies the 200es (BIG RED) has.

they are both chain driven. Sorry I should of mentioned his is a 83es. Still the 200m looks just like his as far as I could tell. His also does not have reverse.

If his is a 83 Big Red (just 200E ... no S!), then the 84 200M is basically the same machine w/o the Hi/Lo gearbox. 84 the BigRed got shaft drive, and basically the 84 200M was a hold over of the old chain drive Big Red w/o H-L, and the racks.

Yeah, the only year for the 200es was '84 and it was electric start(e) and shaft drive(s)
