A few dumb questions?

Here are a few dumb questions:

Is it ok to have alittle play in the front and rear sprockets? I have replaced the front and there is about and 1/8th in. wiggle. the back one is stock and it is about the same.

Is there supposed to be a gasket inbetween the carb and the intake tube and cylinder? I purchased a full gasket kit when I tore her apart and don't remember there being any for that. The reason why I ask this is I've read some threads about airleaks and stuff like that and it got me wondering.

no there is no gasket in there, well at least the ones that ive had never had a gasket for that,but i did have a 185 that had some blue silicone in there acting as a gasket but it didnt run good at all, and when i cleaned the carb i found the blue silicone all over in the carb, so from saying this, there is no gasket in there.

there is no gasket, but there is a black O-ring. there should be a groove for it to sit in.

I never put that o-ring in it's sittin out in the garage I had 1 or 2 left i guess that will cause problems

yep kilabreeze in right i forgot to mention that o ring. and i have the same problem i have alittle bit of play on the front and rear sprockets of my 200x also.

Did the play in the sprockets ever cause any problems or is that pretty much the norm, also anyone ever hear of aftermarket chain guards for the 200x? stock ones are hard to come by these days.

I meant the front sprocket cover on the engine

i made a custom cover for my auto x, i just cut part of the end off of a regular 200 one and bolted it on, but that was on an auto 200 engine in an 200x frame,but its probly bolts on the same so just go and find a regular 200 honda or 185 honda one and cut it so it fits.

There is suposed to be alittle play in the sprockets like you are describeing. I havent found out y they are suposed to have play but they came like that.
