450r pipe on 200x

Is this a good idea? I heard somewhere that the stock pipes are pretty good. but want to know if it will be good for my x. :) or :confused:

I have a 450r pipe, I've been meaning to try on my 86 200x, but never did. I visually looked at it and won't line up to my cobra headers. I don't have the stock pipe anymore. the 450r silencer is quite big and I'm be concerned about it hitting the rear axle when the bike bottoms out.

I have my old 450R exhuast still and my buddy has an 84 200X at my house so if anyone needs me to check anything I can. I think the 450R exhaust will look way to big on a 200X though.

I thought about different mufflers a while back, and came up with something- I surely don't want people to think about me as a civic with a coffee can muffler.

stock 200s kill a 450r pipe in the sounds dep if you ask me, the pipe is like 4IN in diamiter lol

I kow they sound great on the 350x. I think they look good also. my buddy says his gave the X a boost. I have a few I still have to put on yet :)

why dont you search for a CRF250 silencer, smaller diameter. The 350X pipe would flow too much and you would lose power vs. gain.

Well I need something cheap. Ive seen many 450r pipes go for cheap on ebay. I thought id get some info this board befor I got one. I dont care how it looks, i just want something better than my stock. so not a good idea then?

i put a wr 450 yamaha pipe on my 350x,,,, BIG difference,,,, quieter , better midrange, better looking ,,quieter ,, much better, i had a super trapp noisey piece of crap on it ,,,so it was a 100% improvement!!!

350x is way diferent machine than my 200x.

exactly, you would not have any backpressure and lose power. thats why I suggested using the smaller CRF250 silencer...again use your heads, the answer to your question has been posted

No, I looked on ebay and they were all like in the 3 hundreds. No I dont have a 450r pipe.
