Ok, so theres this little mechanism thing, its got the small little rod that goes up and down, and if its put down, when you squeeze the clutch the whole mechanism moves. If you are clueless as to what im talking about, I will post a pic with the thing im talking about cirled on the picture...If you do know what Im talking about could you please tell me what it does and how it works...Thanks...
Oh, one more very quick question, what does the tube coming out of the gas cap do? it seems to go into the fram and I lose it from there...
Thanks again!

hah im lost on your clutch thing, as for the tube on the gas cap, it is a vent hose that just simply tuckes into the frame, the purpose of it is to realse built up pressure from your gas fumes, becuse if the pressure is not released it will cause a vacume in the line carb and what not and it will stave the carb for gas and eventually stall out.
Dammit!

Parking brake.

Parking brake? Would never of imagined that...now how does it work?
Thanks both of you for your answers...and a "pressure releaser" makes sense...Thanks again

Well.... there's a cable that runs back to your rear brake (if it's still there...) You push the button down and pull back the clutch lever and it pulls both the parking brake cable and the clutch cable back. Then theres a piece that swings in and keeps the lever 'back' thus setting the parking brake.

It probably doesn't work, but if it does, you push the pin down, pull the lever, then slide the triangular shaped peice forward into it's groove and let off, that is suppose to hold the lever back and keep your brake on, and clutch loose.
Dammit Bruce, you beat me!!

I think your semi correct...It would not stall out if there was too much pressure. The purpose of the "vent" tube is to let air into the tank so it can replace the space the gas had occupied trailprotrailpro it was consumed by the engine and to let the pressure release once ambiant temps start to climb.

Wow...Thanks alot guys...that clears up alot of stuff!...I will go out in a bit to see if it really does still work...Thanks again

Yes, it WOULD stall without the vent. Remember, it's a gravity feed system. Eventually the vacuum in the tank overcomes the pull of gravity and the flow of fuel stops.

They usually don't work because not many actually use them, so the cables rust up. If it does actually work and gets "stuck", go to the back calipar and disconnect the cable, or you can also adjust when it engages if it does work. You see many "block off plates" for the parking brake. They basically let you remove the mechanical mechanism and seal up where it was mounted on.
The cable basically pulls an arm that mecanical pushes out the calipar piston using like a worm gear. Normally, your rear brakes push out the calipar piston using hydraulics!

Ok...did you even read my post. I said it would not stall because of pressure.
mine did work untill the handel got snaged on a branch and broke the heck outa the handel..lol why did honda make the parking brake handel so curvy ?

With the fuel vent in the tank cap, you are both right. Air travels both ways through the tube. Mostly into the tank but have you ever had fuel in a plastic container and left it in the sun? The the fuel expands and makes the comtainer gain pressure. In this case the air would be leaving the tank.
As for stalling out, it would only stall from lack of fuel flow caused by a suction when you removed the fuel cap (presuming no vent) or also known as a vacuum! If there were a high pressure in the tank, the fuel would be wanting to go into the carb.
