Help me decide.......I have a great running 86 350x with stock exhaust, I also have a Cobra pipe and muffler sitting on a shelf. Question is, I know what the stock sounds like and how it runs now, so does anyone know if I will have to readjust carb and do any other adjustments if I put this on, and how loud are these things compared to stock? When it comes to things like this I am mostly the "if it aint broke, don't fix it" guy, but is the power difference there to justify, possible head aches? Stock exhaust is in perfect shape, other than heat shield bolts broke off, easy fix.

Oh yeah the stock head pipe will be used with Cobra bolt on pipe and Muffler.
Thanks guys, and I maybe selling these exhaust parts, depending on what you say.

I haven't seen many Cobra pipes add much performance at all. And you shouldn't have to re-jet.

I was thinkin of gettin the cobra for mine too.(cobra jet)
It must add a little power because it is much freer flowing.

In my oppinion its just a LOUD stock replacement. The powergain you might get is going to be so slight you probably wont notice. The main diffrence is that the cobra is going to be LOUD, VERY LOUD.

Keep the stock pipe on it. Sell the COBRA. I had to rejet for my COBRA on the Go-Go girl. It has a larger diameter head pipe, more open exhaust. That added to a UNI filter, I went to a 142 jet and lowered the clip one. I'd put a stock pipe back on it, but don't want to mess with it since we worked on it at Trikefest! COBRA is LOUD!

you can get the quiet insert for the cobra, (banned and nameless told me) and I did it on our 86 200X, big difference. So, Roosty, where have you been, and I see you kept the 70 for the boy, and your zilla is gone, where did this 350X come from and do you still live up there in what-the-hell-is-the-name-of-that-place?? Still got your CD I made you?? I havent been collecting those tunes for a while...............

Sounds like the "if it aint broke, don't fix it, and have to buy ear plugs", has won!! Thanks, I'll egay it.

Matt, I've been super busy changing my whole life around a bit, yes still have the 70, no boy to ride it, but maybe a 6 yr old girl, sold the Zilla to a guy in Cali. The 350x came from Fariport, via egay. Came with a rolling chassis also, lots of parts. Yes I still live in *****, and have the CD as well as the drill/bolt gauge you sent me, thanks again. Looking forward to TF #1 for me. :beer

How much do you want for it? My dad might want it for the X we just got.

Roosty....

How's the frame on that roller? How did I miss a 350X in Fairport on ebay? I got the Showgirl up in Greece-Hilton area and got the Go-Go in Binghamton of eBay.

I've been looking for another 350X frame. Either to replace the frame on the Go-Go or to start building another complete trike if it's in great shape. I've got a crate motor and anumber of NOS parts here, plus about everything else to build another X. I'm just short a frame, front forks, clutch lever, and front brake master cylinder from another 350X!

Frame is close to perfect, neither of them had any breaks, in the usual spot at the bottom. It was listed for less than a day when I called him, and he ended it, so I went and got it. I have $400 invested in the parts, but had to buy it all or he wouldn't end the auction. So I have your frame, forks (complete) and your front brake stuff. Let me know what you want to do. You do have me at a point that I need some cash, or other parts/stuff.
