This is the DHH headlight from ACERBIS. Man is that thing bright. I took the white numberplate sticker off with a heatgun because it just clashed with the overall look of the bike. It was a pretty easy install. The wiring is a pain because it doesn't allow you to maintain a high and a low beam with both lights. You could run the high beam to one light and low to the other, but only one beam would work at a time, and the beams are shaped differently . Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the look. Now I need a silver front rim and my FMF pipe and silencer. That will help to complete the look. The only thing eating me away is wether I should get a black tank or leave it red. Any thoughts?

I'd put some red fork boots on it if you keep the tank.

At this point, I don't know if I'm going to put fork boots on at all. I do mostly sand riding with the occasional trip to gorman, and my old fork boots were only good for keeping dirt in, not out.

Yeah I hear ya. New Daystar boots look nice though. Their red ones are just as nice looking as these blue ones imo. I think it would look nice on your trike. :)

Somebody used to make large fork "wipers" back in the day. Available in different colors. I wonder if those are still out there.

You need to get a different seat cover for that baby. I would get something like mine has, a black/red scheme. I think that would accent your black fenders much more and not have so much red in the middle.

I would definately make the change to the black tank. It will make the other plastic look stock and not "add on". I think it will bring your 20 year old trike up to modern day looks with that light and all black plastic. Add some nice graphics and matching seat cover. All it needs now is inverted forks and you have a 2005 ATC 250R!

I think before you do anything else you should get some of that super high heat black automotive enamel and spray that pipe. Looks good so far!

mywifeknowseverything, I bought the light through my local dealership for about $50.00, but you should be able to find it on any parts web site. Any ACERBIS distributer can order it.

I'm pretty sure at this point that I will order the black tank. It just looks too freakin cool not to. I won't worry about the pipe since my new one will be here in about a week. Does FMF make a pipe in a "factory" finish?

Alright, I just ordered the following:

*Boysen reed cage w/ reeds

*FMF fatty pipe

*FMF turbine core silencer/ sparky

*20x10-10 Gecko's on black labels

My friend has the Geckos on his Raptor. I rode it and DANG, that thing hooks up. It still straight lines like crazy. I wanted to go Skat-traks, but I'd have to mail order, and for that size it was almost $300.00 delivered. The Geckos were the next best thing.

You've definately got to post pictures when you get all the black. That thing will be sweet.
