I have an 84 200s. I took the muffler of my 2001 XR200 and put it on my 3-wheeler. Its a FMF Powercore 4 designed for an XR200. It fit well on the 3-wheeler however I've been burning out plugs since I switched pipes. I assume it's jetting but don't know what size jet to replace.

Make sure you are running NGK DR8ES-L or DR8ES plug. Or if you have to Champion RA6. If you are running a lower number than this then thats the cause.

yeah I'm running a DR8ES-L
I was just out in the snow and when I start it cold ( if the plug doesnt burn out) it chugs until i really open it up

When its cold (the engine that is, not the weather) dont let it idle. Ive had a 90 that killed plugs if it idled cold. Maybe cos its in the snow it might need a hotter plug like a 7. Be careful though cos a plug thats too hot can melt pistons. Read up on some websites about how a plug looks if the heat range is too cold or too hot.

Ok I checked my plug after I ran it and it was brown so thats fine. I ran it all day yesterday and the plug worked good I just revved iy high when I started it. Also every time I start it after it sits for a day, blue smoke comes out of it for a bit than goes away. Possibly valve seals or rings
