Down on the motor right below the header pipe there should be a little clamp that the cable goes into. You can try adjusting it by looosining the two nuts to bring the cable in or out. There is also an adjustment up on your clutch lever that goes in and out to take up the slack. Try doing this to see if it helps before rippin into the clutch itself.

Check the adjustment under the header pipe there should be a little rounded bracket that come out right at the bottom of the cylinder This rounded bracket is what the other end of the clutch cable slides into there should also be two nuts for adjustment . One nut has to be on the cable on one side of the rounded bracket and the other adjustment nut should be on the opposite side Make sure there not on the same side that defeats their purpose. The way I ussualy start meessiinn with it is I will tighten the bolt that is closer to that arm that comes off the top of the engine case (It is L- Shaped and this is where you hook the end of the cable into. Once you have done that what I usuually try 1st is torquin the first bolt down closest to that arm the wire should start to tighten up some. Not too much thuogh. Next try tighnint down the nut on the other side of that rounded bracket (the one under the head pipe at bottom of cylinder Are ya with me? then go up to your clutch lever and gently squeeze it in-Look to see if that arm on the top of the engine case begines to move or not (Make shur the end of the cable is attached to that lower arm. If it is moving but not to your liking you will have to mess around with it a bit more. Yuo can also use the adjustment on your clutch lever to take in or leave out slack. Yuo don't want to have the cable extremely tight thuogh cause she''l snap on you. It takes alot of patience, adjustments and readjustments -I know I just did this to my 85' 200x not even a month ago. So mess around with it a bit and see what happens
