Looking at a 185S, guy says its a 1985 but I only find info to 1983 on 185S. The thing has sat for two years and doesnt start now, he says it ran good when he parked it after getting a 4 wheeler. It needs 2 tires and a good cleaning, it also has been painted green and should be repainted. The fenders are in good shape and it has the back rack and trailer hitch. Any things I should be looking for that were trouble on these trikes? Whats a fair price to give? Thank you for any help.

I payed around 700-800 for my 200s (can) thing thing was mint, racks, tires, fenders and light all good. I think that was a good price so I bet around 450-550 or less (U.S) for a decent one. And welcome to the board, nice seeing new people around here

yours since it needs new tires and cleaning I bet about 350, maybe around there, hard to tell without pics.

good luck...

I bit rough looking. No broken plastic. Put gas in it and rode it all afternoon Could use tires but I'll run it as is for a while. .
I am new to this forum and need to find a couple or at least one rim. 8" I think. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the info, I got it for 200 US, I drained the gas tank and cleaned the carb and put a new spark plug in. IT STARTED 3rd pull :beer I drove it around the house a couple times and popped a couple wheelies, the trike doesn't lack any power thats for sure. After the little try out I drained the oil and proceeded to rip it apart, I want to use it for ice fishing and I dont want it broken down 3 miles out on the lake. :w00t:

they are tanks a fair price for a nice one is 300 in cali, 200 if it needs work, i got lost on mine in the middle of palo verde near blythe in california i went 36 miles in the wrong direction then turned back whent 15 miles back so were up to 51 then went west 5 miles 56 and then stoped at the first camp i found and called with their cell so that the search and rescue and parents could pick me up. (its a true story and not a lie, most scary position i have ever been put in) my 185s never stumbled or stalled or even hinted on anything. and after that run i still had about quater of a tank left PLUS RESERVE! i wish i never sold mine but had to, so i could get my R i still have two other 185s that were along on that ride (ridden by buddies) all three of them out there that night never stalled or sputtered. even tho we were scared its nothn like riddin a HONDA!

I paid 400 for my 1984 honda 125m. was mint. nothing wrong, minus a trifle bit 'o' smoking goin on. I would give him 250-500 AT THE MOST. it depends how bad you want it. It also depends how long he has been trying to get rid of it, and the "local trike buyers market"
