Sometime around 1999 I was traveling through a small town and came upon a Yamaha shop. I decided to stop in. I was talking to the owner and shooting the bull about dirt bikes. Then I saw some stuff at the parts counter.

I saw a red radiator shroud and it looking like something that might belong to a Tri Z. I asked the guy and he said it went to an 86 Tri Z 250. He said it was on sale for $4.50. I had no Tri Z at the time, but being the nostalgic type I bought it.

I also saw a master cylinder gaurd on sale for $.99. I bought it too.

In 2003 when I bought my Tri Z (in pieces)...I rebuilt the whole thing but was especially excited about my mint radiator shroud.

Today I found this part...which I completely forgot about...still mint and in the original wrapper.

I had to tear it open and install it!

Ahhh...I love finding cool stuff like this!

Anyone else find any trike parts stashed away on the dusty top shelves of the dealership or on the liquidation rack?

Let's hear your stories!!!

I won a brake res. guard like the one in your pic about two weeks ago for $5 and the seller asked if I wanted the rest of his stock. I told him I would buy them all so I got 10 or 12 all in the original packages, $5 each.

I pester them about it everytime i go there, funny thing is, they say im the ONLY one that gets stuff for 3 wheelers there.. at least according to them
