why do i have to give my 200x tons of gas to start?

why is this happening? i just rebuilt it. i think it is my jetting does this sound right? also i had a ngk plug in and it didnt start so i put in the old chap plug and it fired right up! wtf is up with that?

I would say tooooo rich .. what size is your main?.... cause yeah if you have to give it throttle thats giving it for air... so yeah I would say jetting .. and abut the plug I dont know.. maybe that NGK was junk?

ok to lean it back i move the clip up right? also mabey this is part of the problem that the venet hose of the float bowl was leaking gas and the air filter was leaking gas out too!

I think this may be a little misleading... if your AF is "too high" then that designates a lean condition; i.e.

16 air : 1 fuel

To increase the value of this expression, that is, to make it "too high" you'll have to increase the value of the numerator or decrease the value of the denominator. Increasing the value of the top makes the expression higher.

Therefor! It is correct to say, if he is running rich, that his AF is too low and he needs to lean her back a little.

How did you do that? I mean move the clip up, Cause sometimes I have to kick mine at half throttle to get it to crank. Especially if its cold.
