Just wondering if anyone is running a supertrapp on there 185s. If so how does it run and what re-jetting did it require? I have a chance to buy one from a local bone yard and wanted to know if it is even worth it? How much louder is it over stock? Thanks

It's a full system but very rusty. I can always have it sandblasted .It's and old cone style if ya know what I mean.

Well I put the Supertrapp on tonight and fired it up. It sounds pretty damm good with 5 disc's in the muffler. The bike still stumbles of idle and it is really starting to pi$$ me off. I can't figure this thing out. I went and got a different carb and tried that only to have do the same thing. Maybe it's time for a rebuild.

Try a #100 main jet (stock is #95). Then put your needle clip 1 spot down. Also, turn the pilot screw out an extra 1/2 turn. This should richen it up enough for your pipe.

I have a DG pipe on my 185s and these settings work great with it.

The pilot screw. The one on the bottom of the carb in the front.

The pilot screw controls the idle mixture.
The needle clip position controls the mid throttle mixture.
The main jet controls the mid to full throttle mixture.
