I went riding today with my son. Man, we had a great time. Thanks to the cold weather of last week the lakes have 12" to 14" of ice and about 3" of powdery snow. There's nothing like being totally sideways in 4th gear throwing a 20 foot long rooster tail.

Tomorrow we're going again and my brother-in-law is going to join us with his Big Red. I'm totally psyched!

Everything froze here about 3 nights ago and we got our first big snowfall of the season, a mindblowing 2" and tomorrow its supposed to be in the 50 degree area. Its so depressing. :(

Yamahammer where are you located?

I'm in Northeastern Wisconsin about 10 miles west of Oshkosh. My wife's mom has 65 acres of land that we have criss-crossed with trails. The land also borders one of the many lakes connected to the Lake Winnebago system so in the winter we have miles and miles of ice on which to ride.

We had some warm weather the last few days but hopefully we'll get some new snow and go next weekend again.

We were out again yesterday, so here's a couple of pictures. Sorry there's not action shots. (I've got to teach somebody how to use my camera so I get more than blurry, out of frame, far away pictures of me throwing giant rooster tails. :D )

The Big Red is my brother in law's that his dad bought new in 1985. There are three more just like it in his family because three of his uncles and his dad went and negotiated a good deal on four at once. I've always wanted to get them in one spot for a "family" photo but it doesn't seem to happen.

One of they guys with us brought his quad but said that he has a Yamaha 225DX at home that he never rides, but promised to bring it next time now that he knows we're into trikes. :beer

Yeah, I live in NB Canada and it perfect here. like 10cm of snow and lakes are good. Was on a lake today with 5 inches in one spot and 10 in another.
