will a 86 200x motor fit a 85 frame...

Comples because the 86 motor had different mounts.

It would take a WHOLE lot of work, time to get the welder out...and some more tubing...and somet materials to make new brackets....

no....it would take alot of modifaction...the 86-87 200x engine uses the square design frame and the pre 86's use the more rounded frame design.why not put a xr 200 engine into your X for a upgrade?
