I got my 225DX running today and went for a right. It was alright at first but got worse the longer I went. The motor just cuts out except at very low RPM. It got to the point where the motor just seemed to shut off about every second.

I cleaned out the carb. The low speed screw was turned all the way in so I put it at 2.5 turns out. I don't have any of the carb settings, so if someone has them it would be much appreciated. The float seemed kinda low (when upside down) but I didn't know the height it should be at.

Any help is appreciated.

check your compression, and try to see if itll run with the choke on... also check your fuel level and switch the petcock to res if it is turned to on..

I filled it with fresh fuel and cleaned out the petcock. Changing it from on to res made no difference. Also taking off the gas cap made no difference. Turning on the choke didn't seem to make much difference.

I'll check out the spark tomorrow.
