if you just want it to stay on and dont mind apearance a lot of ppl just use zip ties

yea..you can get coloured zip ties now so it dosnt look to bad....

yep, I use zip ties on alot of my fenders but once i did platic weld a front fender heres how I did it: first i found an old peice of plasic and just set it in the inside of the fender(off the trike) where the crack was and just took the blow torch to the platic and it melted right into the crack and the rest off it that ended up coming threw the outside of the fender i just took the grinder and grinded the rest of the plastic off that i didnt need.

Get a old screwdriver and cut it down so the end is round. Heat it up and push it against the plastic (while pushing the crack back together) let it melt together and kind of do like you are welding. It kind of leaves like a bead looking thing. Once you get it all melted together just mix some epoxy and coat the whole crack. Oh yeah you might want to do the top and bottom of the crack for more strength. (just try not melt through)
If you have a hole or a missing piece you can just cut a piece of plastic off some old fenders and "weld" it in.

Use an old soldering iron and weld it together. This is an easy fix but wont last all that long, whoever said to coat it with an epoxy after is a genuis, that is probably a good idea. Give it a go and let us know how it turns out. Goodluck.

Unfortunatley no epoxy known to man will stick to this type plastic. The ONLY way to mend it is plastic welding. I did the soldering iron thing and it worked a little while but broke. There is a specific temperature needed to adhere the plastics back together. Get it to hot and it will become brittle. The plastic is polyethlene and should be welded at 575 degrees fahrenheight. Useing an old piece of fender, heat gun and soldering iron, I experimented with an old fender and got so so results. The key as I see it is haveing fender and filler both at 575 degrees to get proper adhesion and strength.
