it is a little cold, it took about a month to do everything and buy all the aftermarket parts, i bought everything separate, and bought it with my own $$ except my mom and dad gave me the fenders for my b-day, it seems like when you buy each part individually it doesnt seem like your dumpin a load of mula into it.

Nice, You should give us more info on the NOS. ..

Ill tell u a littl about the NOS kit, the bottle mounts right up to the downtube of the frame(as you can see), the NOS is injected into the fuel line, with a t looking splittee and on the tube coming from the NOS there is a cutoff valve which stops the flow of the Nos to the Fuel line, and there is a push button switch mounted on the handle bars, o activate the NOS you must open the shutoff valve and then wait for about 5 seconds, and just press the button on the handle bars, I am very sory for the poor quality of pistures, but my scanner is getting very old, thanx for the compliments anyways.

I'm calling BS on the way that nitrous kit is hooked up. There is no fricken way that would work.

THIS is how you are supposed to hook it up:

y stang..because its not direct port nos like cars?? or because he said it goes into the fuel line? it probly has some checkvalves in there to keep it flowing right while also allowing gas in

For the posters who asked where to get a nitrous kit:

http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/NOS/NOSPS/ATVFog.html

You can order one from any authorized NOS dealer such as Summit, Jeg's, Ramchargers, etc.

I totally agree with you on that one. Nice Mustang but the way. I've got a pretty nice one myself. Put down over 500 horse to the wheels on the Anderson Ford dyno. I've done some changes though, I'm hoping for 565 rwhp.

A buddy of mine buy a Nitrous Express kit for his 450R but he decided to put it on his 250R instead.

You CANNOT inject nitrous into a fuel line. There is just NO WAY it will work.

Thanks for the compliments. I haven't updated my website yet, but it now has a 331, a Trick Flow Stage 2 cam and nitrous (real nitrous LOL). It should be good for mid-high tens now in full street trim. I can't test it until April/May when the tracks open again, so for now it's having fun with 3-wheelers time. :Bounce

If you guys are interested in Nitrous oxide, It is cheap, dependable and safe for your motor if used properly and in the right amounts. and you dont have to pay a fortune for a kit from N.O.S. if you have any mechanical savvy at all. go here and read well, it tells all you need to know.

Mine's an automatic too. Actually when you hit a certain power level, an auto is better.

Wear out the pistons? That's a new one. Here is a pic of my pistons that had almost 200,000 miles on them and TONS of nitrous sprayed on them:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7939809913&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESO%3AIT

Nitrous usually gets a bad rap because people do not know how to use it properly.

Sorry about hijacking the thread. I meant to say nice trike wayyy back a few posts ago.

yeah, i told you that trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro wouldnt work.
you cant just put it in the fuel line.
it has to be in the fuel/air mixture so it atomizes

You drill a hole in the manifold and add an injecter.

ha...guess im a fool......iv just seen and heard horrer storeis of nitrous....guess im wrong....but it is expensive! lol

MrDixie
12-17-2004, 06:23 AM
Nitrous isnt expensive!!!! It is absolutely the CHEAPEST HORSEPOWER you can Buy!!! If you do it yourself and dont buy one of those overated, OVERPRICED kits. I am putting it on the Big Red I am rebuilding now for about 75-80 dollars. normal driving you keep absolute stock reliability and when you need it, you can have anything from mild, to wild depending on how you jet it.

This page shows how CHEAP and EASY it is.

You can fill the bottle for $7 here. I had Nitrous on my 88 Mustang and that bottle was only $30 to fill and it was huge compared to one on a bike.

so does your "nos" kit work .. i mean aint that hard on the engine cause its suppose to be mixed at a certain ratio to the gas. And if you are putting it right into the fuel like well the ratio ain't gonan be right.
