i would think they would be different on the right hand side of the crank. 200x is manual clutch and the oil pump is on the end of the right hand crank. 188-s has its centrifical clutch hanging there ( not sure where they stuck the oil punp ??? ).
the rod is the same by the specs though ,,,
i bought a 200x ( 85 i think ) that had a 185 upper end on it ( making it a 185xs half breed manual clutch -lol )

but you got crank troubles ,,,

John is correct. The 158-200 cranks are different than the 200x cranks.

Thanks for the info guys. I just receved my repair book today In the Clymer repair book it says that they both have the same stroke 2.28 in. But the right side of each crank is different.
