Yes there is lighting coil and the forks have threaded holess where a bracket would mount. I put one on my son's 70 using a rectangular headlight off an 81 ATC 110 but had to fabricate my own brackets.

Cool. I'm bidding on one on ebay and so is a buddy of mine. We want to ride them at night. This is gonna be great, we're both over 6 feet tall. lol.
I've never seen one with a headlight so I was wondering if it could even be done.

I know this thread is fiercely old but where can I get brackets exactly like this?
www.dratv.com and www.atc70.com have brackets but they make the head light stick out about 3 times as far as these. I've got a round headlight with switch on top from an older ATC110 that I want to use. I think this set up is perfect and I'd like to duplicate it.

Awesome. That looks great. We have a bunch of ATC110 forks so I had planned on using the brackets from one of those and welding it on if nothing else but I'd like to avoid painting if possible.

Blown331, Those brackets you have a picture of look like the old atc90/atc70 honda factory brackets. Very hard to come by. They also had brackets for the rear tail light to be installed.

Thanks! And wouldn't ya know the bolt on brackets that I think actually look decent are gonna be the hardest to fine. I guess the dratv brackets are from some pit bike or something because I think they look kinda out of place.

i just got done putting one on mine. i had a kc light laying around and some macgyver skills. i took a 1/4 beam clamp "used for mounting things in construction" and put it on the crome top tripple tree plate and fastened the kc light to that. ran a wire to the solid green off the stator and presto. my only concern is that it is a 12v light and i think the stator puts out 6v and im not sure how many watts. but bottom line it works.

Thats my wonder.... I know the stator is 6v, but i'm totally unsure what wattage bulb to use. I guess on from a C70 would be a good start, but surely as there's no other electrics it must be possible to use a brighter one?

What did you use for brackets? Got a pic? I'm starting to think the dratv brackets dont actually look too bad, I think they just have them slide up on the forks way too far.

just by 55 watt 12 volt halogen from wal mart.... driving lights. 15.00 for 2 and one will be plenty. Mine has one and a rear led, looks cool. I got a thread somewhere for a quick mount. Use a extra bar clamp upside down on bars with stud up if ya want and bolt light to it. http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo321/andyatc70/th_Picture229.jpg (http://s388.photobucket.com/albums/oo321/andyatc70/?action=view&current=Picture229.jpg)

I found a bracket that I think is just like the DR ATV ones but they are black instead of chrome. I think the black will look better and they will also be easier to paint. Also I'm still thinking these might stick out a bit far so with the black ones they could easily be cut down and rounded back off the sprayed black again.

I also found this different chrome set that comes with rubber protectors between the fork and clamp and they come straight out instead of putting the headlight way up in the air like dr atv, though I think the dr atv brackets could be slid way down on the forks to lower the head light or even put on upside down. The pics aren't that great so I'm not totally sure on them. I think I will go with the first ones I posted.

Here are the dr atv brackets. I think sliding them way lower on the forks would look much better. I prefer the round head light also.

the brackets from dr atv can be trimmed to be shorter. beware that they will touch the tank at full turn.

Damn, I didn't think about them touching the tank. I just bought the ones like dratv but black that I linked above. I figure there is no good way to trim the dratv brackets and keep them looking decent since they are chrome but the black ones I can deal with. If they touch the tank I'm not using them and I will most likely cut the ears of a 110 fork and weld.
