I dunno about slow reving but definately slower than a stock 500. Most twin cylinder sleds rev pretty quickly. With two cylinders I would think you could set it up with electronic reverse with some cash and creativity.

This is Fu%#$#g insane!!! Forget about the CR 500 transplant. I'm sure this thing will bust gears, but danm 100HP 500cc motor. Granted the grafted 1000 cc motor is nuts, but I doubt that I'd ever use the power.

I sold my 1988 cr500 and i had an 86 250r at the same time .I thought about it but never did.Even read up on it.I am very interested in your results .I was worried if i could use that much power in the chassie .Will it be faster than a built 250r? If it is, i need one. Looks tight!

The Sabertooth motor ran awesome for its trial run on Thanksgiving at Glamis. I saw the bike make multiple passes on Oldsmobile hill and the kit really performed up to all the hype surrounding it. The production kits should be ready soon for the 250r's and it's literaly a bolt on deal. If anyone is really interested in the 500cc conversion go to:

www.saberracing.com or check out Planetsand.com and there is a big forum just for this motor alone.

The Sabertooth conversion would be much better for a 250r since the motor is counterbalanced unlike a CR500. Plus this new setup puts out alot more power than the CR500. More pictures at:

My foot hurts just looking at that.

But yeah the 500 kit would be nuts to crank the throttle on.

Like I said in chat the other night...I want that CR500 twin in a geo metro. That'd be one bad *** rig there.
