View Full Version : ? about my 83 and 84r

Ok i have a 83r that i got for $500 that runs and looks great and i have a 84r that i got off a guy for $200 but i used the rear end off the 84 on my 83 because the shock didn't work and the axle needed rebuilt the 84 that i got came with the motor in boxes and the guy said it needs 2nd gear and needs a new carb and the back tires are off the rims they need tubes in them because the bead is broke so they leak if thats true i don't know other than that everything for the 84r is their just needs put back together and i have been thinking about selling them but not sure if im going to yet i just wanted to see what you think i can get out of these bikes to see if i should sell them or do you think it would be better to just save up and buy a 85 or 86r i figured i would ask you guys bein most of you seem like you know what your talkin about so let me know what you think thanks

ok so writing isn't my strong subject bein i go to a small school and they dont teach me much that i have seen.....when i get a chance i'll get some pics of them and i'll post them on the site. If i do keep them both how much do you think i could pick up a 85 or 86r for? I want something fast to keep up with everyone bein everyone has all these new bikes.

the 83R about 1 k and for the 84 about 300 so about 1300 or part out the 84 on ebay and get about 6 and get urself a watercooled
iam in the middle of sellin my air to get a waterpumper! trust me from one who rides his 83R alot, that the 40% more horse power on the water is worth it.
