Need help identifying this electric starter and housing....

I've looked at a couple online microfiche's and I'm thinking Big Red or 200M?

hey, must be 200s, 200es is shaft drive.

200S doesn't have a starter.

I am thinking it is a 82-84 Big Red ( leaning heavy on the 84 ). The reason I say this spave for the Hi/Lo subtranny. 200m didn't have a sub trany so it isn't on the list.

I looked out at the ones in my salvage yard and I am leaning on the BigRed. the 200m and the bigreds both used the same starters but the case is a little different due to the hi/lo and the shaft drive. Its really hard to tell because my side cases are still connected to the motors, but it IS one of the two for sure.

What you see in the picture came with the "gear reduction" deal (hi/low), too.

I'll be posting that thing on the classified section once I shoot 12V to it and make sure the motor works.

If it only had the hi/lo it is for a 82-83 200e.

like howdy said above. the 84 200 es had the reverse shaft. the 83 was chain and no reverse.

mo350x ,,,, i think it's safe to say you have a honda starter that is gonna fit nearly all the pre- 1985 eletric start machines.
