83/84 250R questions

Pulled the head on my air cooled R because it had no compression. Well the head bolts were loose and if I look in the exhaust ports it doesn't look like it has any rings on it. The cylinder wall looks great, still has honing marks on 90% of it. The piston says 1.25mm on it. How many times has it been bored? How many bores are left? The piston seems a little loose but I was thinking it may be because it has no rings. Not sure if I have to bore it again or not. The head looks kinda beat up from a piston coming apart or something. I also thought about just picking up another top end off ebay and slapping that on there. What do you guys think?

Ok I found out 70mm is the stock piston. So that puts my at 71.25. I have 2 bores left in that cylinder.

I don't want to spend much on this thing so where can I get a cheap piston? I need 1.5mm over over bore which is roughly .060 in.

You can try ebay. I just paid $115 at a local shop for that piston.

I've been watching ebay and haven't seen any in that size. I'll just keep looking, I don't want to spend much on this thing. I remember back in like 1996 I rebuilt my ATC200 with a piston that I paid $40 from Dennis Kirk. I rode the thing everywhere and it's still running strong, no smoke or anything, I was hoping for something like that.

Anyone know if a 350X front wheel will go on the front of an 84 250R? I think I might go with alluminum wheels for this one.
