Well I sold a 1982 ATC200 about a week ago for $350. I hated to sell it because it was in decent shape, but I could use the money and I have a bunch of 200's so I sent that on one it's way.
Today I picked up a 1984 ATC200S for free! It's painted camo, has the wrong head light, rear end bearings are locked, pull start rope and chain are both missing. Doesn't have much going for it but the price was right.
Also picked up an 83/84 250R for $150. Anyone know how to tell the year? The tag is missing. It's missing the air box and headlight but I think it's complete other than that. Low on compression but the guy supposedly has a new piston and rings for it, he just has to find them. I'm not sure what to do with it. I thought about stripping it down to the frame and totally rebuilding it. I think I may just try to get it running first and see how it turns out and go from there. I also tried sticking my old DG pipe from my 85 R on it and it looks like it would work! Exhaust on the other side! It' kinda hits the motor so I'm not gonna use it but that's kinda interesting. So now I'm gonna be looking for some tips and advise on this air cooled beast!
I have 2 more air cooled R's I want to pick up. One got drug down the road behind a truck for 3 miles. The bike was on it's side so I don't know if I can salvage anything or not.
