dam 3 wheeler is actin up again...i took it down the road..well about 10 miles of the road almost runnin full out.. it didnt hesitate to keep goin either..it ran just fine till i got to where i was goin (the muddin spot) and when i started muddin it was running like the choke was on..which isnt very good but the choke was off..i checked everything...im not sure what the problem is with it..i had to be pullstarted today and then it ran like crap till it got warmed up..i rode for about 2 minutes w/o the choke and then it started actin up again and ran like that for about 5 minutes..i turned the choke on and gave it some gas then back off..it ran fine again so i said wth and hit the tracks..well i get to a hill and guess what..it just dies..like it overheated kinda but it didnt cause i just put oil in it and it hadnt been runnin over 10 minutes so there couldve been no way that it did..anybody know what this could be caused from?
sounds like you sucked some crap into your carb,

thats what im thinkin..but i was also thinkin since ill be in there to just go put the new jug and piston in..30 over and 10.5:1 comp..think i should?..that would be great for winter considering my airbox isnt sealed i prolly did **** up somethin
yea i dont see why not to put them in if your in there alredy...its your choice, as for the air box not bein seald, thats your problem right there....for muddin always put the lid back on :p

i dont have a lid for it..its one of those pos's with that tube lookin thing in the back that comes up..its got like a cut off piece of that tube..that was how it was made..its a pos..im savin up to get a sealed airbox..here in about 2 weeks ima get a top end kit and this week ima get that sealed box hopefully from ebay ! unless someone on here has one that i could pay 15 bucks shipped for..lol im broke
oh that kind of air box, i have one of thos, it shouldent be getting trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro in though there as long as you seat fits properly and ther rubber grommet is there that holds it in...another trick for thess old style air boxes is cutting that tube piece out, drill a bigger holei n the box and get a bigger elbow piece of rad hose and epoxy it in ;), one more thing to check for is, i bet you have a crack in the rubber boot that go's inbetween the air box and the carb, its a common problem with the older ones becuse they where a softer rubber, i can almost garunteen thats where the water and mud got sucked in

well i do have a small crack but i already rtv'ed it..lol and that tube dont fit..its the wrong year..im thinkin about goin to the hardware shop and buyin some of that slinky type hose and connecting it to the frame where its spose to go..the frame is the type with the hole made for the sealed boxes..unlike mine..lol..my trike is a pos man im tellin ya..u should see the oil it burns when its idleing..lol u cant see anything around it when its cold and i jsut get it started..i have to push start it to..5th gear baby down that hill..lol its a pain in the azz

lol..whats up with the s models!!! always them..the oem box that went on the trike ..my friend took it off and it got ran over somehow...it was before i got the trike off of him..lol he ran it with no airbox or filter for almost 2 years snow mud rain whatever he did it and it didnt effect it really..but no not when i have it..all it wants to do is die..lol..i think maybe its getting flooded out tho..before i had a straight pipe on it..till sunday..sunday i put a kerker silencer..no its not made for 185 or 200 i dont think but i welded it to the exhaust so it would be somewhat quiet..well its quiet but i think its flooding or somethin...i had the carb adjusted for the pipe and now its runnin rich i guess. hell i dunno any more..i took it out for a spin today..it worked great till i got to the trails..again.. it died..so guess whati had to do..push it back up the hill that i came down in the trails back to the gravel road and start it back up..then it ran great again..its gotta be something with the trails..lol..no actually its jsut gettin flooded i guess
