Im changing my buddies stator and noticed my flywheel puller wont screw in, we have the same engine (84 200s). The tread inside the flywheel looks a bit flat. Were guessing the former owner used a wrong puller and messed up the tread. Im starting to think, if his engine could be a 185s would that engine use a smaller puller? I hope thats not the case because he smokes me. What else can I do to remove the flywhheel? I dont mind messing up the puller I have now, so im willing to hammer. Thanks

usually we put two big screwdrivers or prybars under the edge and hit on the middle thing with a brass and a hammer.(make sure you put a nut on it to protect the threads) we have done it on 185, 200, and 110
it might not be the easiest way but it works.
