AftermarketSwingarm Skid for 85 250R

I got a skidplate off of ebay for a TRX 250r and it must be a 88 or 89, as it is too short. But even if it was long enough it wouldn't clear the linkage on the shock. Am I missing some pieces to it or what? It looks as though it should have some sort of spacer to clear the linkage. If I get one from PRM or somewhere else, will it bolt up or will it need modifications to make it clear the front portion of the shock linkage? Thanks for any help guys.

the 85 and 86 trx and atc swingarm skids are different than the 87-89.

OMF makes a superior skid but it's a little pricey at around $100. James Lucky has them.

get a PRM, they are thick and strong.
