Relax.. The object is to help people out, and to help assure that stuff will go to a good place... You shouldn't be taking offence,, How many people do you know on here that even have a cagiva to buy parts for?

Nah,trying to explain this to 3 tigers is like trying to teach a cat how to sit and meow. A waste of time.
That's about 2.5 hours from me. Too bad I couldn't save it when it was complete. Not paying ebay piece part prices for it though!

He has this in the listing:
WE ALSO HAVE ANOTHER CAGIVA ATC WE WILL BE PARTING OUT SOON.
Email him and try buying it as a complete machine. ;)

Didn't know it was a secret. I didn't see bids on anything but one item and it was a name I wasn't familiar with.

I got a hold of him the other day and he said he was getting call from around the country for the other complete bike and he is taking offers on it, i offered a GOOD amount so chances are i might win it, Although it it LESS a motor the salvage yard around here has plenty of cagiva Bike motors so i wont have a problem with that.

I feel like vomiting now. People should realize the historical signifigance (sp?) of stuff before they just tear it apart and ruin it.

Guys, if trikes were not parted out on ebay, we would have a hellova time finding parts. Hell 90% of the parts I used on my 350X were from ebay. Im sure that someone has been searching for a long time for quite a few of those parts. Again no ebay= no restorations of trikes. Im sure everyone here thinks the same way as 3tigers when there are parts your hoping to land on ebay. We all hope that no one else can find them and bid on them. :beer

Your pretty lame about this Cagiva trike being parted out. This site is here for people who like trikes and its a great source for finding those hard to get parts. If there is a Cagiva out there I would hope someone would let us know. Dont sit there and whine about the E-Bay prices like a Greedy Sissy. If you are planning on Restoring or fixing a Cagiva Trike you should be smart enough to know its gonna cost you. If you own one and you bitched on this site then I think your a greddy lamer. If you dont own a Cagiva and you made that comment then your just an ***. By your name I would think you of all people would understand the importance of someone letting the People here know about those hard to find parts for those few rare trikes. If you want to whine about money for parts then go get a 250R or some other popular trike. Then you wont have to be a Hording Scumbag because 250R parts are everywhere.
Im sorry for this letter but for some reason this dudes comment goes against what I believe in. If we dont share info, most of these trike will be gone in another 20 years. Unless 3Tigers is going to restore all of the rare ones for us to look at. :naughty:

To comment on replies... When I see a part I want on ebay, I will show fellow users, I think a good bidding war is fun, And alot of the time, if I dont win, it doesnt bother me at all, just because i'm glad someone I know won it.

yes meathead,i am planning on restoring the cagiva.wouldnt you rather see a complete one finished rather than someone buy all the parts separately and try to build one.its not as easy as you may think it is to find these parts.im just saying if i bid on the parts i need and do not get them,my cagiva will sit and sit until i find another one.the guy parting this does not have all the parts to finish it anyway,it was an uncomplete bike to begin with.the other is going on ebay real soon from what he is telling me, minus the motor and pipe.how many people in here would love to see a finished cagiva and a complete finished tiger 80?well if everything works out for me,i will have them complete real soon.and no,im not hording parts.i have enough 250r's and enough of everything else.i just prefer the rare ones to collect and restore.

We need to keep this civil please ......... you guys might want to try re-reading the forum rules. There are far better ways to try and get your respective points across than by name calling.

I totally dig where your coming from but the way your first comment was It seemed that only you should have these parts. I hope you get em but like I said when you get into a rare trike expect to spend some serious loot. Sorry about my rant trailprotrailpro I was just upset because I got bitched at for stating some Tecate Tank covers were on E-bay. And all I was trying to do was let the people know because they seem kinda of rare. Good luck on the Cagiva and remember if it dont get done this year there is allways next year. Hmmm thinking about it, Is there a big demand for these parts? Because if so you could try to find out who is looking for some and maybe buy their parts. Pull the flip flop on em. :beer

We knew this Cagiva was rare machine. The one we parted out was probably beyond restoration. We were hoping we we would would find a buyer for the other one complete, and i think we will now. We grew up riding atc's and would have loved to ride one of these. We chose this business because we had trouble finding parts ourselves. It eventually worked into a full time business with 5 employees. We hope these parts will help some of you finish your projects. If you guys need a part you can't find for any atc, email us we might have it.

I dont know fellas...it seems like sometimes we get jealous because we "miss the great deals" or "never seem to find the good, rare trikes and pay $25 for them". It all boils down to money. If you have the money, then you can play the game. Trust me, NOBODY mentioning these ebay deals on this board is ruining ANYTHING. This guy is getting calls from all over the country from people that probably arent even frequenting this board. Trikes are pretty cool. The more people that feel that way the higher prices are going to continue to climb. There is a finite number of Tigers, Cagivas, Tecate shrowds, short tank kits, 250r's, Big Reds etc out there and more and more people rejoining the hobby. Soon, any one of us may be able to get $4000 for our average condition 250r. I certainly wish I had a Tiger4 for my collection and Im sure one day Ill get one. But let's not hate on 3Tigers or anyone else because they're playing the game now. Trust me, if I had the cash, I'd drive right over and pick that Cagiva up and just give the guy $5 grand. I bet alot of you would do the same. So thanks to whoever told the board about the stuff on ebay and thanks to whoever buys the stuff to keep it from going to a landfill.
Sorry to preach

Well said TmeCars. I do hope some one gets these parts too, so they can complete their machine. No one wants to see these machines become totally extinct. Sure, we hate to see one get parted out on ebay, but if will help more people complete there rare machines then we can only be thankfull.

sorry about before also,i rarely speak on this site and when i do everybody has an opinion of me and that opinion is usually a bad one.there isnt anyone in here that i wouldnt help out.ask 200xbasket,how many people will lend their original tiger radiator shroud to a complete stranger so he could reproduce it?and as far as money goes,im not cheap,i was the only one who would put up the money to buy the cagiva that was on this board in the early spring.lets just say it wasnt cheap either.but when it comes to the very rare trikes,i know and expect to pay more.some people check ebay on a constant basis(me) for the rare and hard to find parts.if someone wants something real bad, they should look everyday for those parts.i worked for 8 months trying to get something, finally got it.the TIGER 80,and yes it will be finished and not sit around.so i hope everyone doesnt think im such a bad guy.

I wish Andy or Jerry Lillard would come post on the forum some. I emailed back and fourth with Andy for a little bit and then I didn't hear anything back. The pictures he sent me is what is on the Cagiva page now. Wonder what they would think about this huge debacle we've made :p
