has any one done this swap and if so how did you get around the issue of the flat slide being shorter?it would appear that i need a reed spacer to take up the space.also how did u get the carb to fit in the airbox/intake boot?i am very grateful any help, thanks. 3leggeddog

My buddy did this on his 86 R. 4-wheeler though. He got it all to hook up. He said it was a mother but he got it, he heated the boots and the got them on. We jetted it with it on the bike because it takes like half an hour to get the damn carb back on.

Not short enough to cause any problems, everything still connects fine,,, You have to heat up the rubber intake boot, and filter boot to stretch it over the carb,, Or you can get something like a Rad valve (have the adapter for bigger carbs), and a airbox elimator kit.
