What is a good running 250sx worth? The starter doesn't work but it starts fine with the kick start. Plastic has normal cracks and it has racks on the front and back. Any ideas??

Anywhere from 400-1100$ depending on the shape and year. I have seen some bad shape 85's go for 350-500$ and some nice shape 86-87 go for around 1100$ The new models will bring more just cuz of the rear end and the looks(IMHO).

my first '85 was $500, exelent condition, but we pulled the shaft out and all the gears went to hell so it turned out to be a $800 trike. My other '85 had a crack in the rear and front plastics, no spark arrestor cover (the little thing you take off to clean the carbon from your exaust), and a baddly needed front tire; that was $700. My '86 was in fair condition, a crack here a crack there, and I got a deal for that only $700.

I've got an 85 I paid $900 for, then bought an 86 for $25, and an 87 for $125. Both the 86 and 87 run really well. It all depends on how much the owner thinks it is worth. Both the 86 and 87 were given to the guy i bought them from

I know a guy thats gettin' ready to sell a 85 SX (no it's not me) and I think he's asking $900 for it, As I recall it is in average shape (all stock) and has been used on a farm for some time.
