How are you so sure about that? Seing how it uses the stock headpipe, i can't see it being too effective. I was bidding on this at the last minute, but have other.....options for mine. So i let it go. Still it was a hell of a buy, but the performance potential just isnt there for what i want. I need the bigger headpipe so my motor can breathe. i will say it is a superior design to stock. but a silencer that uses the stock headpipe is limated at best.

id rather just have this supertrapp silencer than a piece of crap DG or cobra full system anyday.

You can put the supertrapp spark arrestor system on a DG RCM series and have the same thing!

Well, one reason im so sure of it is because back in the mid 80's Dirtwheels had a pipe shootout and declaired the Supertrapp as the best overall exhaust for the 86 350X.

Nice pipe. I have the same on on my 350X. If you run over 10 rings which that one looks like it has more than that, you may want to up your jet size just a little.

Also as for the debate over head pipes on the 350X, I have been researching 350X headpipes for the longest time and have not found a pipe that improves power. In fact I have heard from many manufacturers that there is no room to improve upon the stock design. If you do buy an aftermarket your probably just buying a stock replacement. Becasue in dyno testing the stock always gave the best results I would be afraid an aftermarket bigger pipe might take power away.

is it easy to take out some discs? is it the less it has the louder it is? it would be cool if you could provide me with some info so i know when i get it.

the more you put the louder it gets because their is less restriction and more flow.
you just have to undo the allen bolts on the endcap.

4 to 6 dsics is the same air flow as stock. The more discs the more air flow and the faster and louder the trike gets. You can run up to 8 discs with out rejetting. Personally I think you'll be fin up to 10 discs, but over that you'll want to rejet as the motor will start to run lean. I have 10 on mine with stock jetting and its awesome. On my 200X I have 18 discs and I rejet and the thing screams.

Well for some reason i think that was for a stock 350x, not one with a cam and higher comp. For a dead stock 350x it probably is the ticket, but i have a line on another pipe that WILL make more hp period. I currently have the dg excellerator system, not by choice, but because thats what came on it. if i had to buy one new, i would have found a supertrapp or equivalent but this new design blows everthing else current out of the water.And it will allow me to use a larger head pipe without limiting my motor to the stock(restrictive) disign.

well the pipe has 12 discs, im also gonna get a UNI filter for it. what size main jet should i go up to?

I'm currently straightening out the jetting on my 86, let me get back with ya, i'll prob mess with it tomorrow and see what i have. i think i had a 142 but i think that was kinda fat, but the fuel screw was messed up before i started, so i'm starting over....
