Nice wheels and tires. Why paint the engine red? Looks like the guy lives in a cool spot to ride right out your back door.

Very nice, but I don't know how in the world that guy got the term "brand new". And actually, the only motor items that are red is the sidecases and the head. The main tranny cases are black and the cylinder is silver. I do have to agree about the too much red though...red frame, red plastics, red swinger, and a partially painted red engine...a little too much.

I wouldn't be so bold as to say brand new and it's definitley not restored either. Look closely at the pics. The bolts on the radiator shrouds are oversized, a bolt on the front motor has a big washer on it, and there are bolts missing from the silencer mount. It's got a lot of new parts, why? Previously thashed or wrecked? It's in good condition but I wouldn't give him more than $1800 for it. When I see something on ebay listed by a seller with zero feedback and the high bidder also has zero feedback plus a new identity it tends to look a bit fishy. Just my .02

I agree with sandman, this 250R is worth nowhere near what has been bid on it. My R is in just as good or better shape and it's all original, nothing been repainted or restored in any way (I have added a few bling bling items but have the stock parts in bubble wrap) and I bought it for $1750.00 and I think that was a steal.

I agree, I was bidding on an amp and this guy had 1 feedback and I put my max bid in and won but not before there were 2 retracted bids which bumped my bid up to my max. I checked his other auctions and found every thing he was selling had retracted bids and all from new users. One auction had 18 retracted bids so I contacted ebay and reported him, he was suspended 2 days later and I was told not to pay for the auction. This guy had about 8 to 10 new user ID's he was using to bump his own auctions.

There are some weird things going on here. First off what guy does all that work to a 250R and have no historical ebay purchases to review. Then second, the guy bidding up the price is another ebay member who is new with no feedback. Either the guy is having his friend bid it up or its not a legit sale.

I am not saying this guy is shill bidding, for all we know it could be a new user who doesn't know what hes doing but it sure looks fishy. It is kind of strange though that the high bidder came to become an ebay member the day after the auction started.

Once again a term is abused: "Brand New". You can rebuild and replace all you want but that doesn't make it "Brand New".

$3000 for an R ...... were all doomed.

Kinda off subject, but everyone has to sart somehwere on e-bay u know. I try to remember that when i bid on stuff from people like that. What i like to do is see if you can get their phone number and call them if your really that worried about it. Most of the time if they are really selling that item they will let you contact them that way. But that is too much red for the bike, i wouldn't complain about it if i bought it tho, it's not like you or i paid for that paint :p it looks like a nice machine.
Mr. Sandman

No one is saying that this bike is not actually for sale. What were saying is $3k is twice what the bike is worth and that the seller and buyer look to be one in the same or friends and are deliberatley driving the price up. I'd say the odds are pretty good that the high bidder will either retract his bid or will win the thing and you'll see it for sale again in the near future.

WOW maybe he really is a ligit bidder who doesn't want to mess around with the reserves and is full of money.

Or maybe it's just some a$$hole that's ruining people's auctions with no intent to pay. I'd bet that's actually more likely.
