Ok. I have my NEW rear brake assembly installed. Bleed the brakes and got all of the air out of them. ALL of it. My problem is this. The bike will stop pretty good using the rear brakes. I just have to push the pedal down a number of inches to do so. Whats the deal? Do I need to adjust the travel at the bottom side of the master cylinder. If I did that would it reduce the travel? Im at a loss on what to do. Any ideas? :(

Yes,
I would advise adjusting the linkage just south of the master cylinder.

Thanks. Thats the only thing I can see that would help.

It's happened to me before too, sometimes different brake parts just align differently.

Yeah, I bought a entire rear assembly off a guy on ebay that sells parts of bikes that were dissasembled back in the day. Hes stored them for years. Everything he sells is litteraly new. The only thing that I didnt buy was the rear disc. Its my original, so it might be a little thinner than a new one. I bet the rear disc is out of spec now that im thinking about it. But I may be able to get a little more life out of it with an adjustment.
