Hey guys, I searched, but didnt have any luck. The lower adjusting knob that says ( 1, 2, 3, 4 ). What do those numbers mean. I know that they dont mean stiffer to softer in that order. I know on my old XR500R's owners manual it said ( I think ) that 2 was best for all around trail riding. It also seems like 3 and 4 were for a much softer. Anyone have any ideas on the 350x? Is it the same. Im about 6'3" and 285. I need the rear suspension on it to be a little stiffer than you lightweights like. :D LOL Any help you can give me will help. I know about tightening the collar on the top of the shock and all that. Thanks for the help.

On my 200x I was told that the 1=softest setting 4=hardest setting
I have a 350x rear shock out in my garage and I THOUGHT the little knob on the canster adjusted the setting,I didnt even notice the little setting like on the 200x.When I tryed setting the adjustment knob on my 200x from 1 to 4 I hardly noticed anything???Any ideas why

Well I know for a fact the rear suspension was a lot softer on 4 on my XR500R. It would bottom out on that setting. But on 2 it was great. I dont know alot about this either. I do know that it controls the dampening.

LOL. Thanks John. Im just about done with the manual John, I will be sending it back to ya with the socket and other stuff soon. The only thing I have left to do is get a dang rear skid plate. Im going to buy a PRM alluminum one. I do know that tightening the collar or whatever you call it on the top, It will stiffen the shock up and give it less travel.

The knob under the shock is for how fast it rebounds. Set it on 1 and push down on the grab bar and watch how fast it comes back up, now set it on 4, push down on grab bar and it should come up a lot slower.

The 350x has a knob on the resivour that is for stiffness when compressing, however I don't notice any difference on mine when I turn it. You can also stiffen up the ride by tightening the spanner nut on top of the spring.
