Anyone have one of those thumb assist throttle extender on their 3 wheeler and do they like it?
I just got done installing one and fit like a champ. Seems to give a lot more leverage and makes throttle movement easier.
I will try mine out tomorrow.

I installed one on my wifes quad. Thumbsaver She likes it when we are just cruising. I myself don't care for it. I have gotten my fingers wedged in on the bottem between the grips and the extender and caused the throttle to stick open.

Put one on the big red. They aren't useful unless you do longgggg rides. Then it realy helps.

I rode a 4x4 with one, seemed like it caused more trouble then it did any good. I can see if some old guy has it on his 4x4, but other then that, I dont exactly see a point, it's not really hard to push a throttle. If you're having trouble pushing a thumb throttle then there must be something wrong, oil your cable or something. Or just fix all those thumb problems with a twist ;)

i put spent shotgun shells on my thumb throttles. just slide it out some for more leverage. 20 guage works best. people always comment on them. im a redneck, i like stuff like that:)

well I bought one because I have been having thumb and wrist problems.
I used it yeasterday and to be honest, I dont like it and really did not help.
I might be going to a twist throttle soon.

I use the heel of my thumb with my thumb on the pivot of the throttle. I get alot more control that way. Mine is a 250R though. Throttle position is constantly changing. Holding at one position may be different.

get a twist throttle and your thumb wont get sore.
