85/86 ATC250R WestCoast Swingarm On eBay

Don't want to step on any toes here, buyer or seller. I hate to post anything from ebay now-a-days, to me this looks to be a stock 250R swingarm, painted white with a WestCoast Decal. From looking it over, if WestCoast made it, it's a dead ringer for the stock swingarm. All the aftermarket WestCoast extended arms I've seen (and I have to admit I haven't seen it all) for the 85/86 250R were made with a pretty good degree of taper from the swingram pivot getting larger toward the axle carrier. So any potential buyers might want to research some before buying.

Anyway, for what it's worth I'd research into those parts before spending a ton of cash so you're sure you're getting what you pay for.

That's definately a stock swinger, painted and decalled up to look like a Westcoast. It may be worth contacting the seller to let him know, as from his description, he seems to be being as genuine as he can.

Got to say it though, whoever did it, did a good job. It looks pretty nice from the pics and would fool anyone that didn't know better!

It's a stocker. My Westcoast swingarm had adjustable pin positions so you could raise and lower the rear of the bike. I compared it to my stock 85 swing arm and it's a dead ringer for stock.

Sorry if someone is selling it from this board, but we all need to be honest.

Maybe it's just the way i'm looking at it. But, in the one picture it looks like the chain adjuster on the carrier is painted white.

thats stock, I like the remarks from the guy "I CAN'T IMAGINE WHY ANYONE WOULD REPLACE THEIR STOCK SWINGARM WITH AN AFTERMARKET ONE" Gee, maybe a aftermarket one is far stronger, nicer looking, usaully the move preferred legnth, better shock angles, any more ? I have a +1 lsr when I redo my atc250r.

LOL, Was just trying to rile you up Jeb! Apparently didnt work :( . As for the swingarm, I laughed when I looked. No question about it, Its stock. Hopefully ebayers with more money then brains wont go nuts and bid it to hell. Maybe someone should E-mail the seller and let him know. He probably just got it on a bike, and has no idea its not really one. Now if it was freshly painted and he bragged about it like crazy, he would recieve a not so nice e-mail. But it's pretty clear he has no idea its a painted stock one.

Hello, I would just like to enlighten you that the swingarm you are selling is only a stock swingarm painted white with new decals. Either someone lied to you about it when you got it, or you did it trying to make money (NOT saying you did). A true west coast swingarm tapers on the side bars and is designed differently. Sorry to dissapoint you.

the axle is a real aftermarket 2+2. it has the sleeves on the ends in the picture to adjust the width. it looks like an old jp or durablue

something it's not. I was misinformed, and the auction will state that this
is a stock swingarm with a paint job momentarily.
