Well im not done, but I thought I would give you guys some updated pics. Remember I got her for $400. She was very rough. Very. Any way here she is. I put a 450R muffler and HRC tip on it. The whole setup cost me $50. Sounds bad arse. Not loud and annoying. And she actually has a lot more throttle response with it on. I love restoring these trikes. :D I will post some pics of it before shortly. I included a pic of my Steed also. :D :beer

This thing wore me out. My 87 Big Red wasnt near as bad. I pulled my hair out with this thing. I tore into it much further than I thought I would have to. Yeah imm going to go with the rear tires for now

Well im 6'3 and 285 or so. And it will get it even with me on it. It will pull the tire off the ground when I shift in the first 5 gears. 5th is a little tougher to get it to do it, but it will. I love it. :D I have $1350 in it.

Well it depends on how you look at it. I started looking at the figures last night. I had $550 in my Big Red when it was all said and done. That included a complete parts bike that I bought for $200. So I got all the parts I needed of it and kept all the electrical also, then parted it out for $650. So that left $100 in my pocket. So I bought the X for $400 and have $1350 in it, less the $100 I had in my pocket from the parts money from the Big Red. So. I have the 87 Big Red for Free and the 350X for $1250. OR you could say I have $625 in each of them. Either way sounds good. I have $500 in the little 1985 ATC70. Did I do ok? LOL

Man, what a cool combination of trikes.
I'd love to get my hands on an ATC70 for when my daughter is of riding age...not long! :)
That Big Red is like riding a couch around, huh? :D

Great looking trikes! :beer

Yeah the Big Red is like a Lincoln!! The 350X is more like a Mustang Cobra!! :D Both have there purposes. How do you like my exhaust MO?

Clay,
I love the the restoration. Nice work. Was that a plastic fuel tank that came with your X and did you buy a metal tank and paint it and apply new decals? It looks real nice. You definatly did better than I did with watching cost into your 3 wheeler. I got my 200X for free and have what you have into your 350X but I paid a mechanic $800 to compelety rebuild my motor and trans and then I bought a ton of misc ebay stuff and new plastic totaling $1350 into it. I bought my 350X for $1500 but she is cherry so I was OK with paying that much. A picture of each one below.

Your trikes look great. Thx for sharing.

Yeah I dumped the plastic tank and the yellowed look. I bought a tank off evay for $45, fixed the dents, and repainted it. The decals are new. I have the entire set coming. She will look mighty fine when Im done. If you ever need new exhaust, go with the 450R exhaust like I did. You wont be dissapointed. :beer

clong,I noticed that you have a twist on your 200x,do you like it?

smokinp,
You know I dont care for the twist that much. I have a thumb on my 350X and I like it better. The thumb seems snappier and gets the power on quicker and feels like I have more control of the trike. The twist is ok though, but if I had a choice I would go thumb.
