hi-low selector on 1980 110 lube question

replacing screws in engine case and doing some resealing while i am at it.
Does the gears and bearing in the hi-low selector case get lubed by the engine oil or does it get greased before assembly?

It gets lubed by the motor oil when the motor is running.
