Anyone use tubes successfully ?
I got some Turfbusters with lots of thread, but they are a bit old , and weather cracked, also probs witht he valves slow leaking...
I want to put tubes in them, but read that the valve stems tend to get cut, however my red don't spin tires too much, so that might not be a concern.
anyone do this ?

I've run tubes in my SX for 4 years and haven't had a problem.
Go for it.......

Had tubes in my utility trikes with no real issues, but my 200X, 250R tend to tear the valve stems off from popping the clutch and pulling wheelies.

I always tube my tires. They hold more air pressure and load.
Little more added protection from hazards too.

I run tubes in most of my tires. The key is getting a tube with offset valve and putting the offset on the correct side of the tire. When you inflate the tube make sure the valve is not sitting crooked, if it is then deflated and jiggle the tire some until the valve straightens out, then inflate. If you get the tube in right then you shouldn’t have a problem with lower hp machines.

Your honda dealer would. You can looks at denniskirk.com, I have also bought tubes from my NAPA dealer. If you luck out, you can find metal valve stems on the tubes, then you don't have to worry about cutting. I don't remember where I got those though.

how much do tubes cost and do u guys install them yourself? dont u have to worry about sealing the bead and everything? atv tires aren't my strongpoint.

Tubes cost me between 10-15 depending on size. I put them in myself and seating the tire isn't too bad, there was actually a post earlier today with info on that.

yea i read it and didn't understand it. so if i wanted to put a tube in rather than replacing my front tire with a big hole in it. all i do since it is flat, is "break" the bead, and stick the tube in there and blow it up?

out at the track (dirt stock cars) that is the best way to keep your tires, if you hit a rut without them you break the bead and your outta the race

If there is a hole in the tire, a tube could be exposed and pop easier while riding if sticks etc hit it. Just keep that in mind before installing one. To install one, break the bead on the side of the valve, insert the valve, slide in the tube, clean and lube the bead, inflate the tire to max psi to seat, deflate to riding pressure.

if you use tubes, make sure tire inflation is enough, or they will loosen and cut the stems off. I work at a car dealership and the guys there put there for free. i have to go buy the tubes from a tire shop.

Killabeez, thats all there is to it. But, your gonna need to fix the hole in the tire or else the tube will bulge out the hole and it won't last too loong like that. good luck
