I've seen them in a TRX250R but does anyone know what it takes to get one in an ATC? Hopefully someone has done it. If it's not too bad to do I think I might go for it. What about the exhaust, mounting, frame clearance, carb, ect.

I'm literally converting the CR500 dirtbiek into an ATC instead of putting the CR500 engine into a ATC250R frame. Maybe you can get some ideas for your project. Heres my page. Hope it helps.

That's sweet. Couple questions if ya don't mind. What year motor should I go for? Does it physically fit in the frame? And what did you do about exhaust? If you have any pointers I'd appriciate it. I don't want to waste money on a motor and not be able to do it. What about the Kick starter? Does it hit the fender?

hey i'm putting a cr500 atc right now and it does fit in the frame but you have to do some major motor mount mods. and a stock cr exhaust pipe will fit in the frame with some bending with the pipe but i have a drag pipe on mine. email with questions

stay away from the 85 & 86 cr 500 motors. parts are not that available.i built one using the 85 motor and what trouble i had finding parts so i just bought a 91 cr 500 motor for back up....the cdi box are discontinued so i bought an 89 cr 500 complete ignition system. i used a 89 cr 500 pipe. after 4 hours of cutting, bending & welding it was complete.

If you go to www.3wheeler.org you can use the search engine to find the complete build up on Kaseys bike.
