Anybody ever replaced one without buying it from yamaha? I'm needing one for my 225 and don't want to fork over $100. for the oem.
I've checked the local gear shops and parts stores and no one has one that small.

If you found it from yamaha for $100, jump on it. I looked for 8 some odd years, cause yamaha was telling me they were like $275. I finally found a used one on ebay. That is your only other option. Even if you do find it on ebay, your gonna pay a pretty nice price, unless no one else notices it, just because they are so high priced from yamaha.

I checked on the timberwolf, won't work. Thanks anyway. Olderfox, what do you mean half of one? I have good cups and bearings, just need the ujoint itself. I found someone selling some parts on ebay awhile back, emailed them requesting the ujoint, and set up a buy it now deal for $20.00 + s/h .A couple hours later ,she emailed me back saying it was ready, and some body had already bought the damn thing before I could get to it.If that was anyone on this forum, let me know so I can come kill you.

Cup to cup is 1- 9/16 and cup diameter is 5/8. I think hondas are bigger, but I don't know that for sure.
