Hello every one... I just bought a 84 ATC250r for $400 that runs. How ever I was wondering if there was a way to quiet down the damn thing. I tried to repack the silencer but I cant seem to get it apart. Anyone have any idea's? Thanks

you dont wana quiet it down, you will lose power and maybe keep the engine from runnin right..if ya want it quieter..sell it and get a 4 stroke..200x or 350x..but when you wind those out they will still be loud..i gota 125m ill trade ya, plus some cash..its pretty quiet..lol

well,....for the loudness, get used to it, there is no changing that, the louder the better!!!!!

Dont get me wrong I know they are loud. But I know they make silent silencers for 2 strokes but I dont know where to get them. I may be happy with just repacking if i could only just get it apart.

there is no taking apart, you can take the 2 bolts out underneath the end of the silencer and clean that out...but thats about it, i will check my manual and then post again later, as for after market pipes and silencers, the only ones you can get are DG and LRD, the dg you can get it www.denniskirk.com, and the LRD pipe you can get at www.lrdperformance.com , if you have alot of money i would reccomend the LRD, i will cost almost as much as you paid for the whole thing
