View Full Version : 200x rear brake pad instal problems!!!!!!

ok ive always had this problem. i cant get 2 new pads in and the disk on my rear brake caliper. there is enough room but the mounting braket seems like it is in the way. is there a way to move this mounting braket? ive tried moving that allen bolt but it wont budge. anyone eles have this problem? if so please let me no how to fix it. i got a pick and am working on getting my damn printer to accept the photo card(damn this ***** never buy a compaq either, ive had nothing but problems with my computer and hp 2210 printer/fax/copy/scaner). please someone help me get my pads in!

could you perhaps use a washer to shim it over a wee bit ( the mounting bracket ) ?

Around the allen bolt should be rubber things to keep water out. The caliper is supposed to slide freely on the allen bolt so it self adjusts and wears the pads evenly. You need to get that allen bolt out, you'll probably end up ruining the rubber pieces.

ok ill try. and washers wotn do anything if my computer would work i would post a pic. when my bro gets home ill use his computer. thanks guys

u gota take a small clamp or pare of pliers and squeez the piston that moves the pads thats what i did.
