What kind of oil?

I have a 1985 yamaha 60 three wheeler and they have this little oil tank near the rear of the bike and im not sure what kind of oil needs to go in there. I dont know if it needs 2 stroke oil or what.

Is it a little round tank???do some research could be for the rear shock if the bike has one,if it is for oil injection you could probally use any 2stroke atv/bike oil..

It's kind of square but its just a little plastic tank that says oil. its shaft driven so i thought it would be gear oil but a man told me its prolly for 2 stroke oil.

O yeah it doesnt have a rear shock on the bike

Never owned one but my guess it is the res for the 2 Stroke oil....I think those were injected....If it is not working properly you will blow it up....I would just mix my fuel and put it in the tank to be safe....

The line that runs off of the tank goes to the carburator so i would think that it is for 2 stroke oil right?

yes its for oil injection so you dont have to mix the gas your self with 2 stroke oil... but liek said before it may not work any more due to old age so a good idea would be to not use the little tank and just mix your gas for now on at about 32:1 ratio ... im pretty sure thats 4 oz of 2 stroke oil to one gallon of gas so for 2 gallons you would use 8 oz and so on
