What would be the best aftermarket exhaust sytem for a 350X?
I was thinking about a Cobra Jet system or maybe a DG stage 3 Xcellerator, but the DG is pretty high. I like them loud also so any feedback is appreciated.

dude the disks in make it louder. it shatters the sound. super trapps sound very nice.

yeah I know. I only have just 7 disks on it now. Don't get me wrong it sounds nice but I don't consider it super loud like a Cobra or DG. The trapp has a nice throaty crackle sound when you rev it. Ohhhh I wanna go ride right now:)

I have a cobra, and its f'ing junk!! Go with the supertrapp, but keep in mind, you wil have to keep your stock headpipe and use the supert silencer.

Yeah what is the deal? Is there no aftermarket headpipe that you can match up to the Trapp?

No need for a head pipe, the Supertrapp slip on puts out more hp than any full exhast you can buy.

You can buy DG RCM exhausts for the 350X and they dont cost near as much as a Stage 3 and they are loud and give you quiet a power hit.

clong
10-15-2004, 06:12 PM
I hear on the trapps that you don't get any power gains till you run 13 to 18 rings and up your main jet a little. In fact on the manual for mine it says running 4 to 6 rings is is the same power and airflow as stock. Better get some rings.

I've got the DG chrome headpipe (larger than stock) attached to a Supertrapp. The slip joint on the oversize headpipe is still the same size as stock, so no mods were necessary.

I got a Cobra Jet for my Warrior

whoever says they are junk is on some cheap drugs

It gave my warrior AT LEAST 5 more HP with about 7-10 mph or more

With that pipe on, I can keep up to my bros DS 650 until he hits 5th gear, then he pulls away

It is not rusted, and its loud as hell

AZ350X,
Did you notice any power gains with the DG headpipe and where did you get it? Thanks so much

dude, u have no idea what trailprotrailpro talking about. you've obviously had your awesome cobra pipe for 4 days so it hasn't had proper time for the paint to fall off and rust. and that crap about hp and 5-10mph? you are a true internet warrior all right (all pun intended) and the fact that u have a cobra pipe on a WARRIOR and can keep up with the number 1 POS quad that is twice the cc is BS. you and your brother need to invest in some REAL machinery for one, and REAL aftermarket mods for two.

Well, concidering that a Cobra Jet is made of ALUMINUM and my warrior DOEs have mods to it, then maybe you should do some research before you go flappin your gums about,

ohh, by the way, heres a list of mods done to my bike

-timing advanced 4
-carb and valves set for racing (carb float set at highest point, wheelie to long it overflows)
-ITP rims and Mudlights
-Uni air filter
-Cobra Pipe
-Honed cylinder with wiseco piston (recent)

So, i guess I will be the bigger man and walk away from this thread so it dont get locked

Ohh, and by the way, the DS 650 has a WB e series pipe, but my bro cant drive worth chit

Curtis
P.S. I dont think you know anything at all, twice the CC? yea, ok, a 650 and a 350, ohh, 350 x 2 is, uhh, uhh 700, ohh yea, its called a ds 700, not a ds 650, geeze, they are false advertising their stuff!!

o, yea for a 350x id get a suppertrapp my cobra was nuthin but trash too, addude im sorry but theres no reason to attempt racing a warrior, and obviously your not the bigger man cuz you had to include a last little comment about it yo couldnt just drop it that cobras are flat out garbage

i obviously didn't mean it was twice the cc  duh close enough

and u consider some mud tires, air filter, and COBRA pipe mods? u seriously need to get off the farm and find some real riders :beer

and a carb set for racing??? u set it at it's highest point for wheelying??? that's a racing mod alright :Bounce

dont even get my started on a HONED cylinder with stock piston, let alone list the mods on my EX.

~~i've clearly been watching the sox/yankees game and have a few too many in me. :TrikesOwn :TrikesOwn :TrikesOwn

Cobra stamps out (makes) the pipes for DG performance, DG has been outsourcing for Cobra for quite a few years now.

Maybe you want to RE READ my post

Honed cylinder with WISECO piston, and the FLOAT is set at the HIGHEST point so that if i WHEELIE too long, the carb overflows,

Ohh, and by the way, I race on a closed track with friends (1 banshee, a 400 EX and a blaster) and the only thing that takes me is the banshee on the straight aways,

Once again, you should read before flappin your gums

**edited** u never say anything about the wiseco piston being oversized OR higher compression so it's STOCK. second why are you wheelying if your racing? I dont see too many racers riding wheelies down the track. u need to not only READ my posts you need to fully COMPREHEND them. and the "closed track" in your cornfield out back you and your friends made doesn't count for much.

Keep on the subject and lets keep it clean guys.

I have a 18" supertrapp on my 350x and i love it. I have a DG on the other 350x and the only thing its good for is hearing that thing a mile away. No gain at all with that pipe. Another thing with the supertrapp is that its adjustable with the discs witch is another plus, and its a spark arester.

If yall want (if theres enough demand) ill go talk to Eddie (ESR) and make try to get him to make batch of 350x exhausts.

Or i know i can get it done through Thunder Ally (http://www.thunder-alley.net/index.html) There close and i could use my 350x to make the pipes. But i dont want to do it unless theres several people intrested. I mainly want a headpipe.

would you just buy a 4 wheeler or trike to race? not not run trails or sand dunes or anything with it? unless you got tons of money flyin out your wazoo, i dont think so

I only got the warrior so i use it to race, ride trails and sand dunes

If you want the most power out of your 350x then you must paint flames all over it. Why flames? Because a good set of flames add 10 hp. Heck just adding flames on your tank will add 4hp.
:beer

I only mention this so that you won't have to run a loud exhaust that might tick off the niehbors and also could cause you to loose some hearing. Trust me, I know first hand here.

Actually...I have 3 race sleds, and 1 trail/enjoyment sled. One is set up for drags, and the other 2 for sx. One breaks....I have another. But, otherwise for racing, and setting it up, it doest get rode. And I have a trike to enjoy, a fourwheeler to go mudding/hunting, and a fourwheeler to ride hard and maby race. And I talked to a guy at www.hmfperformance.com and he said if there was enough demand, they would make a complete 350x exhaust.

WOW, this thread is giving me a good laugh.http://www.bluetraxx.com/phpBB/images/smiles/thumbsup_old.gif

To contribute to the question:

Many machines don't need a bigger head pipe. There is huge science involved in head pipes. Torque can be changed by pipe diamater and length. With your cheaper cobra head pipes they usualy try to go bigger because people always belive bigger is better and they want to sell pipes. A bigger head pipe on a 350x won't gain you anything but SLIGHTLY raising your power curve. Howdy said it best about a loud exhuast, "might tick off the niehbors and also could cause you to loose some hearing". Your way better off installing a quieter system because the gains won't be there.

Honda200:

Your in way to deep here. http://www.bluetraxx.com/phpBB/images/smiles/bs.gif Your "mod" list made me luagh first and the way you defended it made me luagh harder. I'm assuming your young and there is nothing wrong with that. When I was young and riding on the farms I would have thought that was a good mod list too but you got some good guys here that you can learn from. Making debates that make no sence and stating things as you did isn't the coolest thing you could have done. If your beating machines like you say you are then it's all you, and congratulations. But comments like a cobra pipe gave you 5hp and 5-10mph just make you look foolish.

So i guess I should just stay with my stock exhaust system?

OldSchoolin86

If you want to mod something go for it. This is the best setup I've seen for the 350x. It's not that loud, makes a sweet performance sound, and opens it up just right.
