Just wanted to get the word out that I bought a brand new grab bar for my 250R and it looks like a 3 year old welded it, the brackets aren't welded on straight and I think the dune flag mount is welded on the wrong way. I admit I am a welder my self but this is crappy workmanship, anybody else out there see this on theirs too?

Haha I have never understood why anyone would purchase a dg grabbar. They are twice as expensive and twice as ugly and don't fit right on top of that, compared to a prm grabbar. The prm ones have top of the line welds and I've never had one not to fit right.

The welds on my DG pipe are great, nothing wrong with that. I have a PRM grab bar and man what a piece of work, the welds are almost smooth to the touch they are that nice. Looks awsome too.

apparently DG is still in business, but their welder should be put back in welding school. Soon as I buy my tube bender I'll make one better. They probably send all thier product to India to be made by kids in a sweat shop. Never do that again.

Hey pumper, is it common knowledge that DGs are junk? sorry I'm not really a ATV guy, I just have one to ride at night with my drunk buddies. By the way, I like your trike in the picture, are you still in diapers?

hehe pumper, slap it on!, no butter., haha..
yes, DG = JUNK , i had a DG on my 84 R, which i snapped first time over, i had a prm on my 85, and man that thing went through HELL and hardly even scratched, flipped it end over end on pavement and the grab bar didnt bust, but instead broke my damn frame.
alot of people say a grab bar is made to break etc.. etc.. so that your frame wont break instead, but i sure as hell would rather have a bar there for when it comes up so i dont go completely over. 4th gear snapping back on the bar on my 84 and the dg breaking in 2 wasn't fun, i'm pretty sure i still have road rash on my ass and back.

Ive never seen a DG grab bar but my pipe looks great all the welds are smooth and its hard to notice any welds at all from a few feet away.

i'll take that as a compliment of the highest kind varatiak15 ,,, thank you.
no ( lol ).
see the shiney spots in the middle picture ? that's the balance point of my x .
i remember having a atc90 honda that if you flipped it up ,,, it would stand up on the grab bar. once i goosed the x a little much and i rolled off the back and the trike stood up at full attention - note the shiney spots.
howdy has one just about like it ,,, the only problem is the heigth of the grab bar. not a problem for tall people. for howdy + i it's a little extra lifting effort.

I got a PRM on my Tecate and it looks sweet. I had to take a Dremel to the rear bolt holes because it wasnt quite right. No big deal. Great Price and good quality.

I just bought a new DG chrome pipe and aluminum silencer for my Tri-Z. Biggest POS (times 2) I have ever had the misfortune of wasting my hard-earned money on. There was a HUGE piece of slag (the size of a pencil eraser) in the pipe right at the cylinder flange that I had to grind out- still haven't gotten the pipe to quit leaking (exhaust). As for the silencer- I had to take the bike to a welding shop and have the pipe shortened for the bend in it to clear the subframe.
Why didn't I return it, you ask? I bought it all last spring through motorcycle accessory warehouse.com, and figured it'd be nearly impossible to get any restitution through them now. I also didn't want to wait another month to run my bike, as I just finished refurbishing it and don't have that kind of patience!!!
