I've owned 4 Kawasaki Tecate's. 2 1988 Tecate's in which I needed in the end to make 1 good bike.
Same with my 84 as well as the 85. In my area these bike were never heard of until me. I sold both the 84and 85 to buy the parts t4 i needed to fix my near mint t4. It ran like hell except in neutral. It reved to the moon in neutral. Traded my life of trikes to get a truck to fix and eventually drive.And the parts frame sold to a friend for 120$ I have lost interest in the truck and plan to sell and use money to fix my life up again.
1 is to buy my tecate 3 wheelers back. With my fresh rebuilt t4 rear shock and almost a complete tecate 4 motor I can get it running great. They never ran the same after the purchase of the 84. I blew it up as soon as I got it home. Was going to change the carb cause I have all 3 manuals and wanted to put stock on. Well my buddy showed up and wanted to go for a run and I forgot to tighten the carb flange and it had no ignition switch.
Later the trike was rebuilt after the blow up by RPM Cycle of Dartmouth Nova Scotia. That ass hole. And screwed up both the t4 and t3.
I love trikes and want to buy it back. I sold the trikes 1 running and 1 for parts. I thought the stator was starting to die so I sold it.
I have so many kawasaki 2 stroke parts That I hope can fix it. I can buy it back all the parts except for 84 frame for about 400-500 cnd. Its not running and the guys an idiot and don't know bikes at all.
Should I buy them or "IT" back and sucome to the tecate myth or look for something else?
