Do you think one of them would fit a 200 bigred?

My dad's cousin (i dont know what he is to me?) plowed his driveway for 10 years with a plow like that on a big red 200

i tried to get some good pics of the frame set-up from chrisd last year and he didn't get around to it. could anyone help me out. i would like good close-up pics of the mounting and the lift lever set-up. my buddy is giving me a plow and i want to make one for my 250sx. i can only imagine the looks that you get when plowing with one of them "dangerous outlawed 3 wheelers" . i love messing with people

i've seen one mounted to a 200 big red before. i didn't really take a close look at how it was mounted, but i'm sure it isn't that difficult.

it must be a PITA going from forward to reverse all the time.. and how the hell do you get traction with that much front weight ? can you plow more than 4 inches of snow at a time ?

curiously interested.. hmmmm

I'd say get some tire chains on it and you could plow alot!

if you think about it , there isn't any weight on the front when the plow is in the down position.

as for the forward /reverse hassle, i have the 85 250sx and it is very easy to go back and forth. the big red however would be a pain after a while beings the shifter is down on the motor

The 250es and 250sx are easy to shift into reverse but the 200es is a little bit harder. I'd say you would get the nack of it pretty quickly though.

yeah.. you gotta do the hump thing with it to get it to switch from H L R.

I did just pay 900 for a snow blower tho.. that woulda got me a sweet 8X big red !

you could always disengage the reverse button so you could shift without having to push the little button. All you have to do is ground the wire coming out of the bottom of the right side of the engine case (by the foot peg)

This is only for the es/sx that I know of for sure, not sure on the 200's.

You then just have to make sure you are stopped before you shift down from neutral into reverse.

My old SX was like that and I had no problems.....I always knew when I hit neutral not to go that extra click (and with no brakes at that)

I beleive its not an electrical wire it is actually a cable. So you would need to figure out a diffrent way of doing it.

All the cable does is lifts a lever that causes the ground.

Remove the cable and ground the wire and it works. I have done this on many trikes, once the brake lever breaks you don't have that little button anymore and opposed to buying a new lever for a trike without brakes anyway this is the fix.
